BOWLS KUALA LUMPUR

Bowls Kuala Lumpur was founded in 1993. During this time lawn bowls was just been promoted in Malaysia in preparation for the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Although it's new to Malaysian at that time but the Malaysian is catching up the game very fast. In 1994 KL Bowls take part in the 5th. Malaysian Games in Ipoh. Although the games is very new but the games had made it first appearance in Malaysian Games with all the 15 states in Malaysia plus the Armed Forces and Police take part in the competition. KL Bowls manage to win one silver and one bronze in this games. In 1996 KL Bowls took part in the 6th Malaysian Games in Kuantan, Pahang. KL Bowls won three golds and two silvers. This is the best achievement for KL Bowls in the Malaysian Games so far.

In 1995 KL Bowls took part in Arafura Games in Darwin, Australia. KL Bowls also took part in the Touch of Class in Perth, Australia in 1996. In 1994 KL Bowls organised the first Malaysian International tournament using the Commonwealth format with one singles, one pairs and one fours. Western Australia, Brunei Darussallam, Thailand and Singapore took part in this tournament. This tournament then called KL International Fours.
